Rui Carlos

In the 1980s, on a summer’s day, Rui Carlos and his friends Maranau and Tomané enjoy their free time in the neighbourhood, between games of football and play. Rui Carlos mends his worn-out shoes and sets off to borrow the prized football of his neighbour, Dona Olinda, who entrusts it to him each day. With the teams formed, the game begins, but the usual interruptions soon arrive: a visit from Mascote the dog, a break for a snack, and new games. When the ball is punctured, however, Rui Carlos is left alone to face the responsibility and challenges of adult life.
