The festival’s production and organisation happened largely online due to the constraints of the pandemic. From a rich and varied selection of short films, sessions were grouped by theme: Mental Health, To Leave or to Stay, Memory and Nostalgia, Family Drama, Mourning and Loneliness, and Emotional Imprisonment.
For the National Competition jury, we welcomed Joana de Sousa, producer at DocLisboa; Luís Mendonça, programmer at the Cinemateca and lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences; and Matilde Calado, filmmaker and Production Director at Onírico Filmes. For the International Competition we were joined by Ana Isabel Strindberg, programmer at IndieLisboa and director of Portugal Film; Paulo Carneiro, director of the documentary “Bostofrio - où le ciel rejoint la terre”; Rui Pereira, producer at MONSTRA festival; and Bernardo Freire, film critic.
